Our day off

Today was our day off from WIL Research and we wanted to go to York since we now had the entire day to do so.
Yesterday, we looked at the train schedule and we knew that the train left at 10:05 am but we didn't know from which track it would leave so we decided to leave a bit early and this way we knew for sure that we were on time at the right track.
When we wanted to buy our ticket, a woman from the train station came to us and said that she would help us. This was pretty funny because one ticket is £8,40 and when you also want one for going back, it is supposed to be £8,40 as well. However we only had to pay £8,40 once for both tickets.
During the trip to York, which took about 40 minutes, we saw a lot of different landscapes. We for example drove over a bridge and like 5 seconds later we were surrounded with pastures.
When we arrived at York, I saw this old lady who had a large suitcase with her and it looked very heavy. So I asked her if she needed any help to get out of the train. She looked at my, smiled and said that that would be lovely. While I was carrying her bag, she told me that she thought that more people should ask elderly to help them and that she was just going home from staying at her friends house for a week. When we got out of the train, she thanked me again and we went our separate ways.
When I saw the train station I was really amazed. This was because it looked old but new at the same time, there were elements in that had been there for years and there were elements that hasn't been there for more than 10 years. When we came outside the train station, we had to walk like 5 minutes until we came into the city center. On our way there, we crossed a few awesome looking things, a bridge, a park entry, signs that show were what is and of course I had to make pictures of all of those things (see pictures).
After a while of following the signs, we came across the huge church called York Minister. The church was absolutely lovely, the way it was build and it was so amazing (see pictures). I decided that I was gonna take a picture in front of everything that I thought was awesome, and I did (see pictures).
If you want to know what we saw, just look at the pictures.
I also bought some stuff, a elephant made from glass, a frogg made from glass, magnets and some cards. The frogg made of glass is for my grandma because she just loves froggs and collects them.
At 4:05 pm, we went back to Harrogate. Here we ate our dinner at the Mac Donalds, which wasn't cold. After this we went to our hotel room and just layed down, because we were really tired from walking around the entire day.
Now it is really late and I have to go sleep. Goodnight world!
